Hi, I’m Tita — welcome to my first skincare post here on AStarryDahlia.

I’ve been using a small set of Mixsoon products daily since April 22nd, and now that it’s been just over a month, I wanted to share how they’ve been working for me — especially for anyone out there with sensitive, reactive skin like mine.

Just a quick note: this post includes affiliate links. I only share products I’ve personally used and found helpful. As always, please check the ingredients and reviews to see if they’re right for you.

Here’s what I’ve been using:

  • Mixsoon Bean Cleansing Oil

  • Mixsoon Centella Cleansing Foam

  • Mixsoon Galactomyces Ferment Essence

  • Mixsoon Bean Essence

While Mixsoon does offer pre-curated bundles, I picked these products individually (or as duos) to build my own personalized routine — one that focused on hydration, clarity, and calm, without overwhelming my skin.

🌿 Why I Chose These Mixsoon Products

Now that I’m in my 30s, I’ve become more mindful of what my skin needs — and what it doesn’t. But to be honest, I’ve had acne on and off since my teenage years, so skincare has always been important to me. My skin is sensitive, reactive, and combination, which means I’ve had to pay close attention to what I use — and what I avoid.

A few years ago, I started experimenting with oil cleansers, even though I was initially skeptical. I remember thinking, how could oil possibly help someone with acne-prone skin? But to my surprise, they made a big difference — gently clearing my skin without stripping it. That’s when I started to understand that consistency and ingredient quality mattered more than just the texture or trend.

So when I heard about Mixsoon, what stood out was their emphasis on gentle, mindful ingredients, and their reputation for minimalist, skin-supportive formulas. I liked that their products weren’t overly complicated or packed with too many actives. Instead, they seemed to focus on calming and hydrating the skin — which is exactly what I needed.

That’s what led me to try their Bean Cleansing Oil and Centella Foam Cleanser as my double cleanse combo — and to build a routine around them with the Galactomyces Essence and Bean Essence.

A Quick Note About My Skin

At this point in my life, I still deal with occasional acne — but it’s much more manageable than when I was younger. I might get one small breakout here or there, but as long as I’m consistent with my skincare, it’s rare. And since using this Mixsoon routine, I’ve noticed a real improvement. No major breakouts, and even the small ones have been minimal.

Consistency really is key. If I skip steps or get lazy with my routine, my skin notices — but when I stick to it, the results speak for themselves. My skin feels calmer, smoother, and clearer. I’ve also been really happy that none of the Mixsoon products caused any irritation. That’s a big deal for me, because I can usually tell within a day or two if a product doesn’t agree with my skin. After over a month of daily use, I’ve had zero negative reactions.

Even without makeup, my skin has been looking noticeably better — clear and more even-toned. Most days I just wear a light BB cream or no makeup, and even then, my skin looks smooth and fresh.

So yes — I’m happy I gave these products a try. And I plan to keep using them, alongside a few other gentle, ingredient-conscious products I already trust.

Step 1: Mixsoon Bean Cleansing Oil

This oil cleanser is lightweight, smooth, and non-greasy. It melts away makeup effortlessly and rinses off clean with no residue. I’ve had zero breakouts or irritation from it. It has become my go-to at the start of the day (and night).

Step 2: Mixsoon Centella Cleansing Foam

Soft, airy, and gentle — this is the perfect second cleanse. It gives that “fresh face” feeling without stripping my skin. Paired with the cleansing oil, it leaves my skin clean, calm, and ready to absorb moisture.

Step 3: Galactomyces Ferment Essence

After cleansing, I apply this watery essence. It absorbs quickly and adds light hydration and a soft glow. It’s the product that preps my skin without feeling heavy or sticky.

Step 4: Mixsoon Bean Essence

This is the essence that seals it all in. It has a thicker texture but still absorbs beautifully. I’ve found it helps smooth out texture, reduce dullness, and give my skin a soft, healthy bounce. If I had to choose just one step to keep, it might be this.

How I Use Them

I use this routine every morning and night — and keeping that consistency has made a big difference.

  • In the morning, I double cleanse as soon as I wake up, apply the Galactomyces Essence, let it absorb, and then follow with the Bean Essence.

  • In the evening, I double cleanse again, usually right before I shower, and then repeat the same two essence steps afterward.

That’s it. No toner, no extra treatments unless I need them. Most days, if I wear makeup at all, it’s just a light BB cream (which I’ll share more about in a future post).

A Gentle Reminder: Everyone’s Skin Is Different

As much as I love these products and as well as they’ve worked for me, I always want to remind anyone reading: everyone’s skin is different.

I chose these products carefully — based on reviews, research, and what I knew my skin responded well to. I encourage you to do the same. Read the ingredients, check reviews, and consider your skin’s needs before trying anything new. Just because something worked for me doesn’t guarantee it will work the same way for you — though I truly hope it does.

That said, my experience with Mixsoon has been overwhelmingly positive. The products have been gentle, reliable, and a calm part of my daily routine — and that means a lot.
